Japan Airlines® has one of the best business class product in the world. All the seats, Sky Suite®, provide direct aisle access. It comes with top notches soft product as well. You should be able to find many great reviews on its business class products.
There are plenty of ways to earn American Airlines® AAdvantage® miles, like co-branded credit cards. It is also the transfer partner of the BILT® credit card, which is the only credit card so far allowing you to earn miles while paying rent.
Unlike American Airlines®, Alaska Airlines® allows one-way stopover. With additional 5,000 miles at the total of 65K miles, you can visit Tokyo and one other Asia city. Alaska Airline® has sign up bonus of 40,000 to 80,000 miles for its co-branded credit card. Also, it constantly runs buy-miles promotion for 60% bonus miles. So, if to buy all 65K miles needed to visit two Asian cities, including Tokyo, it would cost less than $1,300. It is indeed a very good bargain!
