Your long haul leg of the flight will be either flying with SWISS Business Class Boeing 777 or Lufthansa Business Class Airbus A340.
Business class aboard Swiss’ 777-300ERs features about five different seat configurations, as the cabin alternates between a 1-2-2 and a 2-2-1 configuration. This means every row has one so-called “throne” seat alone by the windows, two seats in the middle, and a pair of seats on the other side of the plane. While these “throne” seats provide the most privacy and storage space, they cost about ~$200 to select in advance.
Lufthansa A340’s lie-flat seats are arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration. While less than ideal since not all passengers had direct aisle access, the cabin does feel modern and fresh.
The purchase qualifies for the Star Alliance mile and status accumulations. The ticket includes priority check-in, airport lounge access, business class meals, two pieces of checked in luggage, amenity kit, and wines, champagne and other beverages.
