For your long haul leg of the flight, you will be flying with XiamenAir Business Class Boeing 787. Boeing 787 comes with two models, 787-8 and 787-9. 787-8 is in 2-2-2 configuration, while 787-9 is in newer 1-2-1 configuration. We did a mock purchase on the XiamenAir website, and the seat map showed us the newer 1-2-1 configuration.
Xiamen Air’s 787-9s have a total of 30 reverse herringbone business class seats. The cabin is bright and spacious, if not a bit sterile in terms of the finishes. Xiamen Air has the B/E Aerospace Super Diamond version of the reverse herringbone seat, which is similar to the one offered by many other airlines.
The purchase qualifies for the SkyTeam mile and status accumulations. The ticket includes priority check-in, airport lounge access, business class meals, two pieces of checked in luggage and amenity kit.
Even though you can probably save a few bucks by booking with some of the budget websites, we recommend booking directly with airline’s website to ensure better customer service post sales. Deals so good wouldn’t last. So, act fast!
