Search with United First, search on United.com. Select “Book with miles” and “Flexible dates.” Choose the exact number of passengers you want to fly and “Business” class. It will be easiest to search one way at a time. First, search for availability on nonstop flights to TPE and look for dates at 88k one-way. Then, search those dates to your final destination (look for 99k). Sort and filter to find your flights. Once you confirm availability, then transfer points to book with Aeroplan (Amex, Bilt, Capital One, Chase), ANA (Amex), LifeMiles (Amex w/ 15% bonus, Capital One, Citi), or United (Bilt, Chase). Booking with Air Canada Sign up for a free Aeroplan account. When searching, select “Book with points.” After searching, filter for “Business Class.” You can also filter by number of stops and airline to only show “EVA AIR.” Booking with ANA Log in on ANA’s website and click the link to “search for flight awards.” Then, click “Award Reservation.” You must book roundtrip with ANA and you may need to use the “Multiple Cities/Mixed classes” tab to enter each flight leg separately. Some intra-Asia flights may book into economy. Pay close attention when booking to ensure you’re booking business class on the long-haul flight. Aeroplan charges a $100 change fee or a $150 cancellation fee. Avianca charges a $150 change fee or a $200 cancellation fee. You’ll need to call to change/cancel with LifeMiles and it can be a painful experience. United is waiving redeposit fees for award flights. You can cancel and get a full refund. ANA charges a 3k miles redeposit fee to cancel your flight. No cash penalty. |
