You can now book Seattle to Rome one way business class on Turkish Airlines for only 31.5K miles. It needs a connection via Istanbul, but cost less, if you fly to Istanbul only. Sample flight:
The award availabilities are on scattered dates in March and April. You can use United Airlines website to do a search with the calendar view to find the available dates first, and then go to Turkish Airlines website to take the advantage of low cost mileages.
To book with Turkish Airlines, simply login to the Turkish Airlines’ website. Check off the “Award ticket – Buy a ticket with miles”
Unfortunately the website only allows you to purchase one ticket first, and then add more once you purchase one. You wouldn’t know if there are enough seats available for your party. I would suggest you download their APP, as it allows you to purchase more than one ticket at a time.
Turkish Airliners’ new 787 Dreamliner business class cabin ditched the old 777 2-3-2 configuration. It has just 30 seats total spread across eight rows, each laid out in a 1-2-1 fashion to ensure every single passenger on board can walk out into the aisle without climbing over someone else. The whole cabin looks fairly dark but sleek: Lots of black, and gray colors throughout the cabin.
The ticket includes airport lounge access, business class meals, amenity kit, and wines, champagne and other beverages.
